Welcome to Aayaheena! Our community is a safe, empowering, and inclusive space designed to support Somali mothers of children with additional needs. These guidelines are here to ensure that every member feels valued, respected, and supported. By joining Aayaheena, you agree to uphold these principles:

  • Treat all members with respect and kindness, regardless of their experiences, opinions, or backgrounds.

  • Avoid using offensive language, making personal attacks, or engaging in any form of harassment or discrimination.

 

 2.⁠ ⁠Privacy and Confidentiality

 

  • Respect the privacy of all members. Do not share personal stories, conversations, or private details outside of the group without explicit permission.

  • Be mindful when sharing information about your child or family, and ensure it’s done in a way that feels safe for you.

 

 3.⁠ ⁠Constructive Support

 

  • Offer encouragement and constructive advice to fellow members.

  • Avoid judgmental or dismissive comments. This is a space for uplifting each other through shared experiences.

 

 4.⁠ ⁠Inclusivity

 

  • Celebrate diversity within our community. Everyone’s journey is unique, and we welcome mothers at all stages of their parenting and advocacy journey.

  • Be open to learning about different perspectives and approaches to parenting children with additional needs.

 

 5.⁠ ⁠No Misinformation

  • Share only accurate, verified information. Avoid posting medical advice, unverified treatments, or misleading content. If unsure, consult a professional before sharing.

 

 6.⁠ ⁠No Self-Promotion or Solicitation

 

  • Refrain from promoting personal businesses, services, or fundraising campaigns without prior approval from the Aayaheena team.

  • Focus on building connections and supporting others rather than marketing or selling.

 

 7.⁠ ⁠Active Engagement

 

  • Contribute to the community by participating in discussions, sharing experiences, and attending events.

  • If you’re facing challenges, don’t hesitate to ask for help or support—we’re here for you!

 

 8.⁠ ⁠Zero Tolerance for Bullying

 

  • Any form of bullying, intimidation, or targeting of other members will result in immediate removal from the community.

 

 9.⁠ ⁠Uphold the Mission of Aayaheena

 

  • Our mission is to empower Somali mothers raising children with additional needs. All contributions should align with this purpose.

 

10.⁠ ⁠Feedback and Suggestions

  • We value your input! Share feedback or suggestions directly with the Aayaheena team to help improve our community.

 

Enforcement of Guidelines

Violations of these guidelines will be addressed by the Aayaheena team.

Depending on the severity of the issue, actions may include a warning, temporary suspension, or removal from the community.
